Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis. Mr. Shamblott died Friday, June 6, 2008, surrounded by his
loving family. He fought a brave and courageous battle against gastric
cancer. He was born Nov. 21, 1938, in Duluth. Mr. Shamblott was a longtime New Ulm resident and retired
in 2006 with his wife Shelly and relocated to Maple Grove, to be near their
children and grandchildren. He and Shelly owned and operated "The Carousel"
for 28 years in New Ulm. Mr. Shamblott was a loving, compassionate and devoted
family man who cherished his family. He loved being a husband, father, and
"Papa." He is survived by his wife, Shelly; son and
daughter-in-law, Scott and Kate; daughters, Stacy and Jodi; grandchildren,
Matthew Wertheimer and Rachel Shamblott; mother-in-law, Sara Pieser;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ben and Vicki Pieser, all of New Ulm. Mr. Shamblott was preceded in death by his parents, Eva
and Shaddy Shamblott. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to American
